Even a life in shambles can be saved. There are times when we feel like we’re drowning in our own life. Like we’re in a downward spiral or on a hamster wheel feeling so stuck that you can’t envision being saved from the misery. The good news is you don’t have to be saved from anything because YOU are going to save yourself. Here’s how to do it, stripped down to the simplest yet heaviest steps you’ll need to take:
Mind Reset
Your perspective has everything to do with what you think of your life. Imagine the person dying of disease and will be soon leaving behind their children, yet loving every second of their life. Compare that to the person who walks around thinking FML because they have yet another car repair to deal with and no money to work with.
How: Instead of feeling like a victim of circumstances that are out of your control, start noticing situations that can be looked at in a different way. Keep everything relative to the bigger picture. Put things in perspective with a positive spin.
Get Serious
So with all of that said, it’s time to stop complaining or feeling sorry for yourself and start committing to making a change. Prioritize pulling yourself up and out of the hole you’re in.
How: Figure out different ways you can improve your situation. What kind of steps do you need to take? What’s your first step? If you can’t figure it out yourself, talk to someone…read a book…hire a life coach!
Get It
Lots of little changes add up. Once you start taking action you are starting to shift the energy and the outcome. Your life is already improving little by little and soon you’ll wake up and realize things aren’t so bad any more.
How: Once you’ve got your first baby step figured out, take that step! You’ve made the commitment, so don’t stop until you’ve got that lovin’ feeling!
There is a lot to love about life and it seems selfish to move through each day without being grateful for the good bits and pieces. This is the only life you get and it’s all yours, so take responsibility for it. From shifting your mindset, to committing to change, and then making relentless progress toward improving your circumstances, change will come. Embrace your own beautiful evolution.

Oh my Gosh! Why do I not know what FML OR LML stand for!?!
You’re probably not the only one! FML or LML means…LML = Love My Live. FML = _____ My Life, which has become common internet slang! You fill in the blank
You are so right, I’m to busy saying FML, I’m forgetting about the things that make me FML.
Right! Thanks for clearing that up for me! Now for the post commentary: This process is pretty much what I go through when I’m down on my luck.
Yes pretty intense I know, but I’ve been able to eliminate the “complaining” with prayer and an increased participation in my faith at church as well as interacting with those who can help me put things into perspective.
I’m determined to apply the LML philosophy to everything I do, even in the mist of failure!
