Since you spend all day dedicating your time to your source of income, it’s good to be able to recognize something that serves you really well. You’ve gotta know a good thing when you have it. If you’re on the fence, be sure to check out my recent article, 14 Signs it’s Time to Find a New Job.
Here are 14 signs your gig rocks:
- When you’re not working, you spend time thinking positively about your career
- When you think about projects and your to-do list, your thoughts come from a place of strategy and thoughtfulness instead of stress and frustration
- You feel exhilarated when you are busy with your job
- When people ask you what you do, you’re genuinely happy to tell them and start getting a giddy smile
- When working, you feel at peace…you’re naturally delivering what you are authentically good at.
- You get glowing compliments from your team, your boss or your clients
- A job offer would have to be REALLY good to pull you away from what you’re currently doing or where you’re doing it
- You have to hold yourself back from going on and on about how much you love your job
- You look forward to interacting with the people you work with on a regular basis
- You pop out of bed in the morning, ready to work
- You get a sense of purpose when contributing to the bottom line for your company
- You’ve been fairly and regularly promoted and given matching salary increases
- Your bosses respect work-life balance and lead by example.
- You actually love Mondays because you’re back in the groove after the weekend and ready for another great week
If this list has you nodding and feeling like the lucky duck you are, then congratulations on being at a great place career-wise. Of course, just because you’re here doesn’t mean you’re not looking for more! Keep dreaming and re-inventing yourself within your work, and hopefully within hobbies too, so burn-out doesn’t happen.
When you’re ready to spread your wings and start peaking at what else is out there, you know I offer results-getting Resume Revamps and Career Coaching to get you back in the game and in the direction you want to go. I’m here for you at lanaelizabeth@gmail.com.
